The UX Designer will have the day-to-day responsibility of highlighting and solving real customer pain points to develop and enhance the digital experiences. Delivering multiple digital projects with a service and agile delivery mindset, you will need to be a passionate customer advocate. The focus of this role is user research, usability testing, IA development, user flows and wireframing for projects within the digital program of work.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand customer needs, pain points and opportunities
- Translate findings into actionable design solutions that meet user needs aligned with business requirements.
- Work closely with business, data and technology stakeholders to understand and identify business and CX issues to feed into solutioning.
- Work closely with the change management team and contribute to strategies that ensure the product launch to market is communicated and understood widely by all stakeholders.
- Provide specialist UX and design capability to support the evolution of the digital experiences to deliver consistent brand expression and exceptional user experiences.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure CRO and SEO best practice is built into website developments, transitions and enhancements.
- Drive to co-create solutions with colleagues and our partners to deliver sustainability while serving society and our customers.
- Knowledge and extensive experience of best practice usability and user research methodologies and tools
- Solid understanding and experience of applying Human Centred Design principles and the latest WCAG usability and accessibility standards
- Commercially savvy and can connect digital experiences with business outcomes
- Highly inquisitive with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience demonstrating success in defining and launching excellent digital products to a high degree of accuracy and to deadline.
- Ability to work collaboratively in blended teams, leading agencies, working with business stakeholders and passionate about being the voice of the customer.
- High level communication skills, both verbal and written, and excellence in communicating with multiple stakeholders (technical and non-technical) in a fast paced, high output environment.
- High level PC skills using the Atlassian suite, Microsoft suite, modern CMS (Sitecore preferred), analytics, research tools and figma.
- Desirable: A degree qualification in Design, Digital, Commerce, IT, Marketing, Psychology or a related business discipline.
