The Opportunity:
We currently have opportunities for two proactive Valuers or Senior Valuers to join our market leading Compensation and Litigation team based in our Melbourne office.
As a Valuer or Senior Valuer within our Compensation and Litigation team you will take an active role in the compulsory acquisition process including undertaking research, valuation modelling, report preparation and attending conferences.
Whilst previous experience in compulsory acquisition would be preferred, a valuer with sound working knowledge across the various commercial sectors will be equally considered.
The role will be supported by a highly experienced Directors, Associate Directors and Senior Valuers within this market leading team.
You will:
- Have exposure to a diverse range of clients and projects.
- Undertake research, analysis and problem solving to support the provision of quality reporting.
- Have the opportunity to work across multi-disciplinary projects with Urbis's other service areas (e.g., Urban Planning, Urban Design).
- Develop industry, clients and other contacts, with the support of a director or Associate Director.
- Promote the firm and its services to create business opportunities.
- Tracking job costs and regularly report to Director/s and complete timesheets.
- Providing assistance and support to Assistant Valuers as required.
- Other duties as directed
About You:
- Tertiary qualifications in Valuation either at graduate or post graduate level
- Membership of API and Certified Practising Valuer accreditation.
- Relevant work experience across multiple asset classes. Ideally previous experience in the compensation space or the valuation of encumbered land.
- Demonstrates an ability to work independently and build rapport and effective working relationships with team members and clients.
- Demonstrated experience and strong track record with a similar role at similar level.
- Intermediate to advanced level in using Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel).
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret and critically review sales, leases and other research data.
- A solid understanding of client service principles.
- Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail in all documentation and correspondence;
- Confidently liaise with real estate agents, property managers, leasing agents etc. for the purposes of gathering comparable market evidence and market insights;
