Venue and Events AdministratorMarist College Ashgrove is a Catholic day and boarding school for boys in Years 5-12, situated in Brisbane's inner Northern suburbs. Flexible working hours and days can be negotiated.This position is responsible for the successful booking and management of the College event calendar for both external and internal events at the College and to explore and develop additional opportunities for external venue hire.This is a full-time, fixed-term contract for 12 months, remunerated at the School Officer Classification Level 5 in accordance with the Catholic Employing Authorities Single Enterprise Collective Agreement: Religious Institute Schools Qld 2023-2026 and is renumerated between $73,712 – $77,302 per annum based on qualifications, skills, and experience.Responsibilities include:
- Manage all external venue hire enquiries, ensuring high-level customer service is met.
- Explore and develop additional opportunities for external venue hire.
- Liaise with internal departments to determine availability and suitability of enquiries.
- Effectively maintain venue hire packages including catering offerings.
- Manage all bookings in EventPro and internal school intranet.
- Support the delivery of College events.
- Demonstrated experience managing facilities and venues.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting the delivery of events
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and develop positive relationships with external parties and develop the venue hire side of the College enterprise.
- Sound judgement skills with an ability to manage sensitive information discretely and confidentially.
- Experience working independently with limited supervision, including prioritising, and working to tight deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to focus on all areas of a project or task, no matter how small.
