The Venue

A well renowned Property Developer and Sydney hospitality consultants will be opening a new, upmarket cocktail bar and restaurant in Newcastle's upcoming Islington area.
A world class and truly unique concept; The venue, CLOSED, is still under construction but with an open date set for April, we are looking for the next integral member of our team.

The Role

Due to open April this year, this venue will offer loads of challenge, creativity and also reward. We are seeking a Venue Manager that is available to start shortly who can assist with menu development, set up, and recruitment for this stunning new venue. With a professional and supportive ownership, this is an awesome role for a career driven and growth-oriented hospitality professional. 

You

To be successful in the application, you will/will have

Extensive experience with cocktails and a solid foundation of classical knowledge 

Experience in rostering (management of wage budgets)

Control labour (breaks & casual wage management) 

Strong abilities in training, mentoring and developing teams

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Passion for creating quality and consistency 

Overall knowledge of operational & financial knowledge

The desire to grow and develop your career as more venue's open in the precinct

Menu updates (development of menus and pos updates)

Create/update venue systems & checklists 

Manage suppliers (delivery/invoices/stock issues) 

Maintain standards for both food and beverage 

Manage lighting, sound and temperature during shift

Resolve any issues or complaints and follow up when needed

Desire to create & work in a collaborative team
