We are seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead a team at our well-known venue in Toowoomba! If you are approachable, sociable, and passionate about all things hospitality, we want to hear from you!
A salary commensurate with experience will be on offer, daily meals as well as an incentive bonus.
The Role
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will perform both the operational and administrative responsibilities including:
- Manage the day to day running of the venue
- General stock control, rostering and expense control
- Planning and organising special functions
- Manage a small team (less than 20 employees) including a Head Chef, Management Team and casual FOH staff
- Counting and balancing of floats, opening and closing procedures
- Maintaining high standards of service, culture and safety
- Manage front of house recruitment, induction and ongoing training
- Compliance with statutory regulations
- Exceed service standards by promoting a customer-first culture
- Ensure compliance across all aspects of liquor licencing, gaming, food safety requirements and workplace health and safety
About you
To be successful in this role, you must have strong leadership and customer service experience within the hospitality industry. Above all else, you will be a focused and highly dependable team member that will complement our existing team and take it to the next level. In addition you will have:
- 1 years experience as a Venue Manager within a similar role
- Strong leadership attributes including leading by example and actively encourage best practice across the business
- Be able to work autonomously and manage time critical tasks independently
- The ability to create a positive venue experience ensuring high standards of service and venue presentation ensuring the venue is fully operational and compliant at all times
- Have a solid understanding of best practice hospitality procedures, work health and safety and quality standards
- Well-developed computer skills for POS, rostering database, and Google Suite. Previous experience with TANDA is an advantage but not a mandatory requirement
- Demonstrated drive for revenue growth with an understanding of budgets, wage and COG targets
- Hold a current RSA and RSG certificate, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence and Gaming Nominee Licence.
