Our cocktail lounge, Swan & King was developed to compliment our restaurant which services breakfast, dinner and room service seven days a week.
Both venues are located within the Canberra Rex Hotel in Braddon, and is home to boutique accommodation, event spaces and multiple food and beverage outlets, as well as a great team!

The Role
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you will be a key member of the Food & Beverage Management team with a responsibility focusing on managing the Hotel’s bars, staff, stock control, menu creation, SOPs development, promotion, creation and involvement in the creation of marketing content.
It is expected that the successful individual will have a visible presence on the floor, whilst ensuring the smooth operation of the day-to-day activities and cultivating, leading, managing and developing staff. This is a very hands-on role - you will be required to lead by example and set the standards.
The right individual will be not only a guiding presence in the Food & Beverage Team but across the property.
About You
We are looking for someone who is customer service orientated, with a strong knowledge of food and beverage products and current trends, you must be passionate, creative, disciplined and organized with strong leadership skills that will inspire and challenge your team.
It is essential that you possess exceptional communication skills and that you are a team player. You will have the ability to work well under pressure whilst always maintaining a professional attitude.
Experience managing food and beverage outlets is preferred.
