Versatile Mining Engineer

• Permanent position on a Bowen Basin mining operation
• 8/6 or 9 day fortnight roster
• Client side - attractive base salary with bonus

The situation:
  
Our client has a permanent position available for a Mining Engineer in QLD coal. The role will encompass a bit of everything - drill and blast, mine planning and design, even final landform design for mine rehabilitation.
  
The conditions will be:

• 9 day fortnight or 8/6
• DIDO / Residential (housing provided) or fully funded FIFO
• There is an attractive bonus / performance incentive 
• Permanent position with plenty of scope for career development and further education / training

Experience / skills required:

• Bachelor degree OR diploma in either Mining Engineering, civil engineering or geotechnical engineering
• At least a few years of site experience under your belt
• Skilled with mining software / planning / scheduling / design packages 
• Good communicator, thinks outside the box but practical, open to feedback
