We are in the game of helping people, and as a VET Support Officer, you will be part of the Access Skills Training team that provides commercial Registered Training Organisation (RTO) Auspicing Services and courses (Certificate I to Certificate III) to in excess of 70 secondary schools and 2000 students across Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, and Queensland.

- Support the successful operation of the VET Delivery in Secondary Schools (VDSS) team within the RTO.
- Ensure processes are followed in accordance with internal and external requirements, including the registration of schools, trainers, and student records in systems, e.g., aXcelerate utilised by the RTO and that documentation is present and correct to ensure a compliant auspicing service.
- Support the development of key documentation at the start of the VET program, such as the Training and Assessment Strategy and Trainer Skills Matrix, in accordance with training and assessment processes as per the RTO procedures.
- Maintain good operational knowledge of VET and RTO compliance requirements in relation to VDSS.
- Support the VDSS team during the coordination of meetings and provide general communication support to schools.
- Attend and assist the VET Manager at AST professional support forums and related events.
- Conduct Industry Network meetings with trainers, offering them an avenue to network with other trainers about programs being delivered.
- Attend Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) events throughout the year to support AST Auspicing Partner Schools.
- Provision of administration services to the VDSS team utilising Microsoft Office suite or products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Attend and participate in Team meetings, staff development activities, marketing activities, planning activities, and performance appraisals.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Highly developed planning, coordination, time management skills and attention to detail
- Computer literate and an ability to work towards KPIs

- A Certificate III in Business Administration and/or extensive experience in a busy office environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workload.
- Capability to work autonomously and as an effective team member.
- Full Australian working rights, ability to satisfy national police check and Working with Children Check requirements
- Current driver’s license
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Registered Training Organisation compliance management systems, with strong administrative capacity to manage documentation systems.
- Knowledge of vocational training and Australian Skills Qualification Authority and the standards for Registered Training Organisation Standards 2015.
- Certificate IV in training and assessment (or the ability to obtain within six months of appointment).
