You will be joining an established Canberra security vetting business with over 10 years of experience providing security clearance assessment to Federal Government. The Role:
As a Team Leader, you will play an integral part in developing and leading a team of Vetting Analysts. Providing supervision, work pipeline management, performance management, mentoring and coaching to a high performing team.
Our ideal candidate possesses personal drive and integrity to lead by example, the ability to cultivate positive working relationships and inspire high performance and accountability. You will conduct comprehensive QA on clearance assessments and provide guidance and recommendations on policy and procedure.
You will also be able to manage your own allocated caseload and adhere to deadlines. You must be an expert at juggling multiple cases at once and using your exceptional attention to detail, and ability to process information logically to assist with making sound judgments.
Your Skills and Experience:
To be successful in this role you must be able to ‘hit the ground running’. This means you will have:
- a Certificate IV in Government Security (Personnel Vetting);
- in depth knowledge of the Protective Security Policy Framework;
- a current (minimum) security clearance (ideally NV2)
- demonstrated experience in a supervision and/or management role in a similar position;
- significant experience in vetting clearance applications; specifically, NV1 & NV2 levels;
- high attention to detail and accuracy;
- demonstrated experience in building rapport and trust with people;
- high level communication skills (written and verbal);
- high levels of integrity and discretion;
- awareness and experience of secure working environments and obligations; and
- interested in working in a permanent role based in Canberra.
Location: You’ll be working in a large office based in Fyshwick and free parking. You’ll be close to local eateries and shopping facilities.

Remuneration: Our client is flexible in their approach and this position is a permanent opportunity.
