We're on the lookout for a dynamo to join us as a Casual Pool Visitor Experience Officer, where every day is a delightful adventure.

About this opportunity:

Join our team at Sarina Sugar Shed, a premier tourist attraction in Sarina, offering visitors an engaging and educational experience of the sugar industry. As part of our team, you'll lead guided tours that take guests through the sugar-making process and our on-site distillery, showcasing the journey from cane to sugar and rum. You'll also facilitate tastings of our products, including fresh sugar cane juice, sugar, rum, and liqueurs. Our facility is well-maintained, with a gift shop featuring locally produced goods, and provides a relaxed, welcoming environment for visitors of all ages. If you're passionate about education, enjoy interacting with people and creating lasting connections between our visitors and the magic of Sarina Sugar Shed, we'd love to hear from you.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, or retail to showcase your top-notch customer service skills.
  • Hold a QLD 'C' Class Drivers Licence for smooth facility operations.
  • Possess a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification for a safe and enjoyable environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to tailor tours to the unique preferences of each visitor.

Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Point of Sale (POS) systems.

Important Note: This is a casual position, offering approximately 20-29 hours per week, with the need for flexibility across all seven days, including weekends and public holidays as per the roster.
