Caring Cuisine is a not-for-profit meal provider with a proud 50 year legacy of supporting the elderly and vulnerable members of the Brisbane community. Originally operating as Meals on Wheels Western Suburbs and Meals on Wheels Mitchelton and rebranding in March 2023, Caring Cuisine plays a vital role enabling older Australians to enjoy living independently in the familiar surroundings and comfort of their own home. Our team of staff and volunteers prepare healthy, fresh food for our clients, and provide them with social interaction during meal deliveries.
Over the last 12 months, Caring Cuisine has experienced a rapid increase in demand for services, and has commenced the development of volunteer “hubs” across the Brisbane area.
Caring Cuisine currently operates out of two main facilities at St Lucia and Mitchelton, as well as volunteer hubs in Taigum, Kedron, Kenmore, and Cannon Hill. Over the coming months, Caring Cuisine expects to set up several more hub locations across Brisbane.
The Volunteer Coordinator will be required to operate out of different hubs across Brisbane each day, and as such requires access to a reliable vehicle.
