The roles, responsibilities and duties of a Security Officer can be performed in many different sectors and varying roles. This Position Description outlines the general duties in line with specific role types and acts as a guide rather than a comprehensive list of tasks.
Conduct patrols across our Bunbury university campuses to ensure the safety of students, staff and visitors.

• $26.87 per hour + penalties and allowance |Full-time roles available

About the role
The position is primarily responsible for providing a security presence whilst remaining alert and focused on university campuses. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer focused team. This physically active role is responsible for the security and safety of the university and its people. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Conduct foot patrols both internally and externally (requires you to walk up to 15 km per day)
• Respond professionally, courteously and promptly to all customer enquiries
• Interact positively with all campus personnel
• Protect assets of the university and follow site lock up procedures
• Respond to first aid enquiries

This role is based in Bunbury. To be successful, candidates must live in Bunbury or surrounding suburbs.
Skills and experience

• Certificate II in Security Operations & WA security licence
• First Aid and CPR certificate
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Can- do attitude
• Full WA Driver’s Licence
