AddressCriterion Industries is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in the role of Warehouse Assistant (Trade Desk) at Criterion Leichhardt NSW. As a crucial member of our warehouse team, you will be at the forefront of our operations, handling materials, utilising machinery to cut products to length (with full training provided).
Our Leichhardt branch offers easy access for our customers, located conveniently near the Sydney CBD and areas with high construction activity, attracting significant foot traffic. The branch functions similarly to a hardware store (like Mitre 10 or Bunnings), featuring a Trade Desk area and a warehouse for material storage.
Primary Purpose of Position:
- Assist with the storage, handling, and cutting of materials in the warehouse.
- Assist with face-to-face customer requests in the Trade sales area, supporting both external and internal customers.
- Operate machinery to cut materials to specified lengths, ensuring precision and safety.
- Hours of work - Monday to Friday, 6am-4pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain an organised warehouse, ensuring materials are stored in the correct bays for efficient access and inventory management.
- Ensure a neat, tidy warehouse area, free of clutter and rubbish.
- Utilise machinery to cut materials to customer specifications, following safety protocols.
- Meet and greet customers, providing support for placing orders, picking up orders.
- Assist with the maintenance of the retail displays, ensuring all are full and visually appealing to customers.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a warehouse or similar role (desired).
- Physically fit - to handle materials and operate machinery.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
