THE COMPANY
We are a medium-sized importing and distribution company wholesaling specialised textiles along with associated equipment and consumables to fabricators throughout Australia, Asia and the Pacific. We also work closely with our teams in New Zealand and North America who mirror our Australian operation.

THE ROLE
We have an opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Assistant to join our Sydney team, and while prior experience is advantageous, it's not mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided.
This a varied and busy role where for the right person there is the opportunity for increased levels of responsibility.
The specific role and core functions include:
- Receiving inwards goods and materials including de-vanning containers, verification of goods and materials, labelling and entering goods and materials into database and correctly storing items within warehouse.
- Support outwards orders, picking, packing, dispatch and meeting deadlines.
- Stock take and maintenance of stock levels inventory.
- Contributing to and maintaining a tidy and clean warehousing environment, organise waste and recycling collections.
- Drive fork hoist to move stock and load/unload containers and trucks
- Provide support for other team members within the organisation at the discretion of the General Manager
- With suitable experience and at the instruction of the General Manager, fill in for the Warehouse Manager as needed
- Fill in for Warehouse Manager as needed
Additional operational assistance will include:
- Support other team members and completing duties that contribute to quality assurance where required.

The successful applicant must have:
- Must have permanent residency
- Good general computer skills.
- Good time management and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- A current forklift license is preferred – but training can be provided.
- Full and clean driving licence [Mandatory].
- Come to work every day with the right attitude, ready to work hard and be physically capable of completing all duties associated with the role as heavy lifting is involved
- Be able to provide us with referee's that can speak of your great work ethic and reliability.
- Most importantly, have a can-do attitude and be willing to contribute in a team environment.
