HBT GmbH, headquarters in Luenen, NRW, Germany, is a world-class machine manufacturer and fully integrated single solution provider - specialising in systems and equipment for underground coal mining. The company exports its high-performance longwall mining equipment to all major mining markets worldwide, strategically located in 15 countries including Australia.

The core HBT facilities have the capability for research, development, design, manufacture and testing of longwall mining equipment in-house. All HBT products and systems are produced to the highest standards and compliant with international regulatory requirements.

In addition to machine manufacturing, HBT also manufactures high-quality OE parts and provides world-class support services for their equipment to ensure their customers succeed.

HBT Services QLD is responsible for the overhauls of longwall machinery across QLD and operates under two (2) plants, being Overhauls and Gearbox repairs.

Position purpose:

The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment. This role ensures efficient operations, timely processing of orders, accurate inventory records, and adherence to safety protocols. The Warehouse Coordinator will work closely with other departments to ensure timely delivery of products and maintain accurate records of all warehouse activities.

Key Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for:

• Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, including verifying contents, recording data, and coordinating with carriers for timely delivery.

• Organise warehouse space and optimise storage capacity to facilitate efficient inventory management.

• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and adjustments as needed.

• Coordinate with purchasing and procurement teams to ensure adequate stock levels and timely replenishment of inventory.

• Oversee order picking, packing, and shipping processes to meet customer requirements and delivery deadlines.

• Supervise warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.

• Enforce safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for all warehouse personnel.

• Implement and enforce best practices for warehouse organisation, cleanliness, and maintenance.

• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service to resolve issues and improve operational efficiency.

• Utilise warehouse management systems and other technology tools to streamline processes and improve productivity.

Qualifications & Experience

• Associate or bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field preferred

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or coordination role.

• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse best practices.

• Proficiency in using warehouse management software and other relevant technology tools.

• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and inventory control.

• Adhere to and follow all WHS/Safe Work Australia regulations and procedures.

• HRWL forklift and experience operating material handling equipment preferred.

• Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

• Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and time management skills

• Sound computer literacy in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP systems experience.

• Valid Driver’s Licence.
