We are looking for a motivated and experienced Warehouse Inventory Manager to join our team and help us optimise our inventory processes and warehouse operations.
ABOUT THIS ROLE:
The Warehouse Inventory Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management within our warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, and tracking inventory, as well as managing warehouse staff to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast inventory needs, establish inventory targets, and implement strategies for inventory optimisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and track inventory movement to identify potential discrepancies, variances, or issues.
- Oversee various inventory management activities, including the receipting process, handling damaged goods, order checking procedures, stocktaking, cycle counts, stock adjustments, credit returns, out of stock reporting, age stock reporting, product loss prevention, and product locations.
- Implement robust control measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory records, minimising discrepancies and risks.
- Lead customer stock take activities, adhering to customer timeframes and requirements.
Team Leadership:
- Coach and develop a small team to ensure their continuous growth and development.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide guidance and support, and promote a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Collaboration and Customer Service:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as sales, operations, and accounts) to forecast inventory needs and establish inventory targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their requirements, and providing exceptional service.
Cost Optimisation:
- Analyse inventory costs, evaluate pricing strategies, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvement.
- Assist with maintaining inventory budgets and forecasting inventory needs.
Data Integrity and Reporting:
- Monitor and validate inventory movements to maintain accurate stock levels and data integrity, including customer stock reconciliations.
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS & DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience in Warehouse Inventory management, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and integrity.
