Position Scope and Objective
The role of the Warehouse Manager encompasses transport, stock control and warehousing. Ensuring structures are in place to monitor the flow of goods and materials.

Key internal relationships - Production Scheduler, Procurement, Supervisors, Maintenance Supervisor
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: -
- Oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of goods from all internal and external warehouses including management of transportation & FCL movements.
- Communicating with other departments, staff groups and customers.
- Invoice processing and payroll activities.
- Sites waste removal activities.
- Organise Forklift Maintenance.
- Overseeing stock control and processing orders.
- Ensure all return stock is reversed and correctly returned to stock.
- Ensure weekly spot checks are conducted discrepancies investigated and corrective actions put in place.
- Overall supervision of inventory and its control, including stock take.
- Ensuring quality, delivery and budget objectives are met.
- Compliance and comprehensive knowledge of company policies and procedures and support to achieve company quality goals in line with the requirements of the businesses quality, safety, EMS, GMP certifications and standards and or any future standards as required by the business to meet its customer expectations.
- Responding to and dealing with customer communications including complaints by email and telephone.
- When required, liaise with suppliers of raw materials/packaging, transport providers and customers.
- Control and co-ordination of pallets, any other associated equipment.
- Awareness of company policies and practices.
- Strictly following Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Forklift driving in a safe manner.
- Strictly following OH&S requirements and procedures.
- Ensuring all BOMs are physically cleared at least 3 days prior to running production.
- Ensure any issues with BOMs are identified and communicated to all stakeholders.
- Ensure job folders are audited and completed within 48hrs of receiving.
- Contributing to the achievements of the department and company's quality objectives.
- Protect the health and safety of self and others at work.
- Protect company property.
- Strictly follow environmental (EMS) requirements.
- Manage the warehouse operations and department personnel.
- Participating in and encourage productive teamwork with department personnel along with ensuring the correct procedures and work instruction are followed.
- You may also be required to work various shift arrangements.
- Your position may be varied from time to time, you be consulted about any material variations.
Experience and Qualifications
- 5+ year's experience in a similar role, ideally within the FMCG, manufacturing or distribution industries.
- Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain/Commerce/Business/Engineering or similar discipline, or other supply chain qualifications
- Forklift Licence.
- Leadership experience.
- Warehouse background as opposed to Logistics.
- OH&S Training.
- SAP Experience
- Written communication skills.
- Verbal communication skills.
