Hands and Feet help people in need through local churches. We have 4 warehouses across Australia (Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide) and we feed around 3300 people every week. We engage around 1000 volunteers each week in helping people in need across Australia. When you work with people who enjoy helping others, it makes for a great workplace.
Qualifications & experience
- We are looking for someone who has experience in logistics management and has good people skills to manage paid staff and volunteers. Being comfortable with a computer to manage our data records and coping and managing stress are beneficial in the role. Experience in food handling is also helpful.
Tasks & responsibilities
- H&F are a not-for-profit organization that collect food from grocery stores and distribute this to local communities through local churches in Sydney, Blue Mountains and Newcastle. We are looking for a Warehouse Manager to manage all aspects of the Warehouse. This includes managing a fleet of 7 vehicles, scheduling their runs, managing both staff and volunteers who drive the vehicles and managing the warehouse floor which includes ensuring volunteers sort the food properly and maintaining a high level of food quality for distribution. The cleanliness of the warehouse is also highly important as we store food on site.
