The key focus of this role is to manage the entire operation of the warehouse in Sydney in St Peters, including day to day operations of the warehouse, human resources, stock management, quality and logistics.
Duties and key responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the daily function of the warehouses.
Manage the warehouse team, including advertising and hiring of warehouse staff,
Ensuring the use of warehouse space is as efficient as possible.
Plan and organise stock movements within the warehouse.
Controlling inventory and undertaking reports to be given to management.
Managing quality control and liaison with the buying team.
Developing, implementing and improving efficiencies and procedures in the warehouse.
Collaborating with staff, other departments, senior management to share information, problem solve and to clarify the companies objectives.
Managing customer claims / credits to insure 100% customer satisfaction.
Taking responsibility for the motivation, organisation and encouragement of teamwork with the workforce.
Co – ordinate and organise all deliveries and associated logistics with multiple transport companies.
Ensure the Health and Safety Policy is implemented and adhered to at all times
Monitoring staff performance and lead in training.
Accepting a high degree of responsibility and accountability for others as well as yourself.
You must will have:
Current drivers and forklift license.
Proficient in Microsoft office programmes
Able to lift 20kgs and are physically fit
Proven ability to work with urgency
Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with management
Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on service and flexibility
Excellent time management skills are essential for this position
