We currently have an exciting vacancy for an experienced Warehouse Managerto join our in Perth branch.
Responsibilities
- Manage the warehouse team and day to day operations
- Monitor and develop team performance, induction, training and labour hire
- Utilise the Warehouse Management and Inventory System to complete reconciliations and physical stock movements and drive process improvement
- Streamline operational flows and resources for all Contract Logistics customers and complete relevant reporting activities
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and service providers
- Warehouse maintenance such as equipment maintenance and safe work procedures
- Responsible for on-time billing, profitability and support management in business growth
- Support Sales team through the provision of advice and resources in order to achieve future business opportunities and marketing strategies
- Accountable for compliance and operational management of the facility, ensuring all legislative requirements are met, including but not limited to:
- Customs s.77g Depot
- Quarantine Approved Arrangement
- Chain of Responsibility
- Workplace Health and Safety
- Dangerous goods
- Air and Maritime security
- Certifications and qualifications
- Liaise with Australian Border Force and Department of Agriculture & Water Resources in varying circumstances such as non-conformities, changes to Approved Arrangement of Depot and audits etc.
- Oversee yard management such as pallet control, CTO lodgment and retrieval, FAK import/export – transport loading and unloading, temporary storage requirements etc.
- Ensure ongoing and consistent customer satisfaction through effective and efficient responses to enquiries and issues
Requirements
- Managerial experience in a similar role within freight forwarding and 3PL
- Current forklift licence, high reach experience preferred
- In depth understanding of Customs 77G depot operations and customs compliance
- Thorough understanding of quarantine approved arrangement operations and ability to maintain compliance of a class 1.3 facility
- Knowledge of aviation security and the requirements of an Air Cargo Agent
- Understanding of the loader/unloader’s responsibilities in the Chain of Responsibility for road transport
- Proven commitment to customer service and a can do attitude
- Good spoken and written communication skills with good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritise tasks, problem solve and meet deadlines
- IT literate and able to leverage software and hardware platforms to advantage
- Commercial and financial acumen
