The Role
The Warehouse Officer forms an integral part of Albemarle’s Supply Chain Team, ensuring efficient and effective operation of the MRO warehouse. Responsible for goods receipts, goods issues, stocktaking, inventory management, internal deliveries and other warehouse functions.
The Warehouse Officer is responsible for ensuring the MRO warehouse and associated facilities efficiently address all maintenance requests, while maintaining safety, cleanliness, organisation and the highest level of customer service.
It is a residential role, you will work full time at our Kemerton site and will be required to work on operational shift roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and operate a safe work environment.
- Assist with the establishment and maintenance of the vendor master (catalogue) in SAP.
- Assist with the initial fit out, setup and stocking of a brand-new MRO warehouse facility.
- Receipt, quality inspection, storage, protection, preservation and distribution of goods on site, including materials handling and all related SAP transactional activities.
- Manage inventory, including reviews of stock levels and ongoing cycle counting.
- Picking, packing and staging SAP work orders and ensuring availability to the end users.
- Operate materials handling equipment, including forklifts and (possibly) specialized, narrow aisle equipment.
- Assist Buyers in the identification and sourcing of MRO items.
- Resolve delivery issues with suppliers and support general movements to and from site.
- Participate in review and progress meetings, as appropriate.
- Input and assist Buyers in Supplier Evaluations.
- Handling and storage of dangerous goods as per Australian Industrial Standards.
- Develop and improve warehouse operations policies and procedures within a global framework.
- Participate in Housekeeping, Environment and Safety audits.

- Solid MRO related warehouse experience
- Previous experience with SAP
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment
- Ability to work under pressure.
Education / Qualification Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- HR License and a willingness to be trained in operation of new equipment
- Certificate in Warehousing & Logistics (desirable)
