Job description
About the Job
Do you want to be part of the team that helps Games Workshop relocate to our newbuild warehouse in Leppington, Sydney?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join our global team on a fixed term basis, at our newbuild warehouse in Sydney.
The role will involve managing the exit from our existing site in Ingleburn and finalising the move-in arrangements at the new site in Leppington, as well as ensuring all the logistics and staff communications around the move go smoothly.
We are looking for a confident and experienced Project Manager who will be able to work independently when needed and have a dual report into our Local Warehouse Manager and Global Projects Team. The post-holder will need to be able to work in a collaborative way with our UK based project teams - from Logistics management to IT as well as local suppliers and office staff - to ensure that the move is well organised and meets the needs of the business.
This is a contract role, with possibility for hybrid and flexible working; a regular weekly presence required in the Warehouse and weekly late afternoon/early evening Video Conference calls with the UK-based project team. We anticipate this to be a minimum 6-month delivery to see us through to the completion of the move.
Responsible for managing project/projects on a day-to-day basis. Responsible for all of the governance processes except for the Directing a Project and Managing Product Delivery process.
The Project Manager is responsible for project managing a Warehouse relocation including circa 20 office staff, making sure the move is carried out with minimum disruption to business operations.
Working at Games Workshop
At Games Workshop we are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the company and to put those needs first when they are at work. Because of this we believe that what you are like, hence the attitude you show to work and the way you choose to behave is just as important as your skills or experience.
Other Essential Information
Location: Ingleburn and Leppington, Sydney, New South Wales.
