Following a $1b investment to the historic Pentridge site, one of the most exciting and diversified hospitality venues Adina Pentridge incorporating Chapter Place at Pentridge is recruiting an experienced Weddings & Events Sales Manager to create beautiful, unique, bespoke and experiential weddings and destination events.
About the role….
Reporting to the General Manager, you will work closely with the Executive Chef and the Conference and Events Operations Manager in selling the property for Weddings & Events.
The role will focus on exceeding sales targets, planning high-end events, and communicating details to operations, along with developing and growing the team.
Wedding and Event Sales – Site inspections of the venue, following up on leads and closing sales; Educating peers through networking about opportunities and offerings at Chapter Place at Pentridge. The work patterns will vary with wedding seasons and day of week flexibility is required.
About you….
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, selling 100+ pax weddings and events.
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Demonstrated experience in sourcing new business and warm lead follow-up.
- Extensive sales and negotiation skills with a track record of conversion
- The confidence and experience to undertake site inspections to showcase the venue offerings.
- Demonstrated experience with the end-to-end acquisition of premium weddings and events (from initial lead to closing of the sale).
- Experience in interpreting and analysing budgets, forecasts, reports, and client feedback
- Strong development and retention of customer relationships
- Outstanding attention to detail and time management
- Superior grooming and presentation
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
