VN12722Westcon Marketing ExecutiveAU-SydneyAU-MelbourneWestcon-Comstor are seeking a seasoned Marketing Executive to be responsible for developing, implementing and executing the marketing strategy for their portfolio of vendors. This role requires a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual, capable of prioritising and juggling multiple projects, plans and activities. As a driver of the Westcon brand, you will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure all marketing efforts are aligned with business objectives.
To be successful in this role, you will have solid B2B marketing experience (Ideally within the IT channel, 1-2 years minimum) as well as preferably holding a tertiary marketing degree. Alongside having a good understanding of the “channel” and it’s route to market, you will have digital marketing experience; intimate knowledge of Marketo or equivalent marketing automation platforms with some CMS experience (preferred). You will have proven event management, strategic and tactical marketing experience.
Role relative responsibilities:
- Develop quarterly marketing plans with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Be the primary point of contact for vendor marketing activities to include the planning, budgeting, developing and rollout of all marketing activities.
- Manage the MDF/Co-op budget for your portfolio of vendors
- Align channel marketing strategies with both Westcon and vendor business goals
- Support the sales growth of Westcon and its vendors through the successful planning, design and implementation of marketing programs.
- Develop integrated marketing programs to drive sales awareness and generate leads, all in support of Westcon and vendor goals and objectives, using a variety of communication mediums via on and off-line channels.
- Become the marketing ‘champion’ in communicating marketing programs to internal sales teams, partners and prospects, as well as vendor representatives.
- Work closely with relevant internal stakeholders – including Vendor Business Managers, Sales Leads & Business Development Managers to develop marketing plans that drive partner stickiness, incremental revenue and achieve overarching business objectives
- Collaborate with the National Marketing Manager, your fellow Westcon Marketing Executives and the broader marketing team to ensure activities are executed to plan
- Present the marketing strategy and execution at vendor quarterly business reviews
- Manage workflow through your own execution, with the Marketing Assistant, in-house studio creative team and relevant third party agenciesIf you are experienced in juggling multiple projects, plans and vendors, being proactive in your marketing planning and execution, not reactive, and owning both the strategy and its execution within your portfolio then we would love to hear from you.
Time & priority management is a major factor of success in this role, specifically around managing relationships with multiple stakeholders both internal and external as well as managing multiple budgets. We are looking for a candidate who is confident to challenge the status quo e.g. the “this is the way we’ve always done that” mentality, increasing sales engagement with marketing programs and activities and generating a higher portion of MDF/Co-op spend for your vendor portfolio.
