About the team

To understand our merchandise business, we need to understand our customers. That's why you'll find us working across all business units at Coles Supermarkets, Liquor and Coles Local. Supermarkets is one of the largest teams at Coles, but we're a close-knit group that come from all over the world. We're passionate about working at the forefront of merchandising and making sure our customers have quality products at the right price.

About the role

In this role you will report to the Senior Category Manager. You will support the broader Coles Wholesale Services team and your time will be focussed on the management of all administration duties of the category. You will support the category in planning, sales forecasting, event planning, range reviews, supplier relationships and queries from customers and stores.

  • Support in range reviews with analysis, layout updates and manage new range implementation
  • Support the Senior Category Manager with varied reporting
  • Assist in management of key processes for assigned trading area including catalogue brief and sign off on catalogue content and accuracy
  • Support the team with Production and Operation admin tasks including stock management, approving orders
  • Support the team with communications to stores and helpdesks

About you and your skills

This position will suit an experienced Business Category Coordinator.

  • A strong customer service and administration background
  • A commercial mindset and ability to think laterally
  • A proactive nature which drives you to go above and beyond to get the job done
  • High attention to detail in everything that you do
  • The ability to support the team in the smooth administration of the category's
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • An analytical mindset and be efficient in working with reports
