The Company
One of Australia's most recognized and trusted names in residential construction, this organisation has been operating for close to 100 years and is continuing to go from strength to strength. With a strong portfolio of projects across Australia and New Zealand, they are seeking a WHS Advisor to join their team based at either their Head Office in Brisbane or office in Sydney to look after NSW, QLD & VIC projects.
The Role
Working as an enabler and partner to the businesses, helping them to own safety, you will roam across multiple projects to ensure the effective execution of the Health and Safety Management System.
Key focus areas will include incident management, safety observations, contractor management and consulting with operating departments in the design and implementation of safety programs. You will be focused on continuous improvement and developing a proactive safety culture throughout the business.
This role requires someone with excellent leadership skills, ability to plan and implement and happy to be part of the hands-on details. The role sits within the operational business unit and forms part of this team.
About you
To be successful you will have demonstrated experience in a hands on WHS role within a construction (or similar, high-risk) environment. You will hold as a minimum, a diploma in WHS and have excellent stakeholder engagement, coaching & influencing skills.
