Primary Location
Service Stream’s Transport Infrastructure division are currently seeking a Full Time, WHS Advisor to join our team. Reporting to the risk and compliance manager you will be responsible for supporting our company to meet its Safety, Environment, Quality and client obligations. The position is expected to work closely with employees and contractors to develop and implement safety systems, processes, and initiatives to support safety and risk improvement strategies

Reporting Line: Risk & Compliance Manager
Responsibilities
- Understand and drive improved health, safety and environmental risk control across including the exposure with externals stakeholders and contractors that work with
- Key driver to implement the HSEQ strategy.
- Actively influence all stakeholders to drive better systems, compliance and culture.
- Provide tactical support to project delivery teams.
- Lead the internal audit program for all assurance processes.
- Deliver training, awareness and instruction.
- Prepare and analyse data for performance reporting.
- Facilitate & lead risk reviews and workshops.
- Prepare performance reports and statistical analysis.
- Embrace cross functional teamwork
- Develop and communicate as required, incident alerts, corrective actions and lessons learned from incidents
About You
As the successful candidate, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in a Safety role with a strong understanding of hazard identification and risk management, will be highly regarded
- Prior experience managing Safety, requirements across all levels of the business (worker safety and safety management systems)
- Experience in auditing, investigation and safety, reporting
- Excellent communication and people management skills
- Relevant qualification in WHS/OH&S, Cert IV in workplace health and safety and or a diploma or working towards obtaining the accreditation
- Strong knowledge or good experience in Behavioural / cultural based safety
- Demonstrated ability to foster and influence safety culture
