About The Opportunity! Seeking a committed and passionate WHS Coordinator to work closely within the Safety team. You will operate in an environment of support, within a team, providing guidance and leadership in safety initiatives, and promoting improvements in WHS.
As the WHS Coordinator, you will be able to collaborate and contribute to the development and implementation of safety strategies and initiatives. This will involve conducting comprehensive risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implementing policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for delivering compelling safety training and workshop sessions that empower employees to take personal responsibility for their safety and others. Additionally, you will undertake incident investigations and proactively take corrective and preventive measures.
You will work collaboratively with the Safety Manager, as well as other colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation, to achieve organisational safety objectives. You will also conduct site safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
About You
- Must be Qualified with a Certificate or Diploma in WHS with experience working in the health and safety field.
- Experience working with staff to identify WHS matters and risk assessments, return to work and workers compensation.
- Ability to do workplace inspections and audits.
- Ability to clearly communicate information and advice to staff and management at all levels.
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Current drivers licence and own comprehensively insured car
- Be able to provide the following; NPC & NDIS Check, Drug and Alcohol, Current Covid and Flu vaccines
- Flexible working arrangements!
