WHS & Risk Officer
Permanent Part-time (0.6-0.8 FTE) $82,129 - 88,719 + super
About the position
The WHS & Risk Officer is part of the Corporate Services team, and will drive the development, implementation and review of Council’s WHS management systems, and Risk management systems. This position will be based in Lameroo and report to the Manager Corporate Services. Responsibilities of the position include:
- Regular reviews of WHS and Risk Management plans, policies, procedures and forms.
- Coordinating WHS & Risk Management audits & evaluations, and implementing subsequent KPI action plans.
- Timely reporting to various Council committees
- Overseeing contractor and volunteer registers and induction processes
- Assisting with risk analysis, accident prevention/investigation, hazard management and compliance across all departments.
About you:
- Experience and understanding in the application of WHS & Risk Management legislation
- Qualifications in WHS & Risk Management
- Previous experience is Local Government will be considered favourably
- Ability to work across all levels of the organisation, providing advice and education
- Able to efficiently influence stakeholders and drive WHS & Risk Management improvement initiatives
