The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Risk & Assurance Officer to join the APA Networks team in Thomastown VIC, Eagle Farm QLD or Kidman Park SA, on a Permanent Fulltime basis.
Reporting to the Manager - Networks Risk, Compliance & Assurance, you will provide support within the Risk and Assurance team across a range of risk and assurance activities undertaken within the Networks business.
Key Responsibilities
- Execution of periodic risk reviews in accordance with the RCA risk review schedule
- Maintenance of divisional and site level risk profiles within the APA GRC system (Vigilant)
- Develop and coordinate Emergency Response Exercise (EREs) scenarios in accordance with the schedule within Networks
- Execution of RCA internal audits in accordance with the RCA audit schedule
- Monitoring of Front Line Assurance (FLA) program execution - including periodic trending and reporting of FLA outcomes
Your background
- Background in risk management, audit and/or investigations in a similar role, ideally within the energy, construction or mining sectors, is preferred
- Ability to analyse risk and assurance outcomes to provide data-driven insights to operating management so that the effectiveness of internal systems of control are continually improved
- High level of written and verbal communication, to support report writing, formal presentations and facilitation of risk and assurance activity
- Can effectively build trust amongst colleagues and focus on achieving collective results
- Sound practical knowledge of the energy industry would be highly regarded
