We have a permanent opportunity for a Work Group Officer to be located at Clermont.

The role:

As a Work Group Officer, you're a skilled and competent tradesperson who utilises and blends both trade-based skills and supervisory skills in order to assist with leading field staff. You will perform a pivotal role in supporting the workgroup from a technical and work planning perspective, to ensure work is undertaken in an effective and efficient way.

Location Incentives –

  • Non-Urban Zone Allowance – up to $11,125 per annum.
  • Housing Allowance – up to $16,640 per annum.
  • Locality Allowance – up to $2,509 per annum.
  • Non-Urban Time Recognition Payments - $5,000 after 2 years of service and if you decide to stay on for 5, 10, 15 or even 20 years, we’ll pay you $10,000 at each milestone.
  • Relocation Assistance - up to $10,000 is available for the right candidate.

Remuneration -

  • From $116,202 per annum + 12.75% Superannuation on a 9-day fortnight roster.
  • From $134,213 per annum + 12.75% Superannuation on a 10-day fortnight roster.

The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the applicant’s knowledge, skill and competencies required for the position.

About you:

Critical to your success in the role is your:

  • Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency as an:
    Electrical Fitter Mechanic, and/or
    Electrical Linesperson, and/or
    Electrical Jointer.
  • Knowledge of Electricity Act and Regulations, Workplace Health and Safety Act, Environmental Act and other relevant legislation, including the Electricity Act 2002 Code of Practice for Working Near Exposed Parts and its practical application to the Energex and Ergon network.
  • Understanding of electricity distribution and/or transmission, including design, construction, maintenance and operation of underground and overhead mains and substation equipment.
  • Well-developed people management and leadership skills including mentoring and coaching skills and the ability to successfully manage all aspects of employee performance.
  • Demonstrated ability in written and verbal communication skills, establishing effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, working in a team, by working collaboratively across a diverse stakeholder network, negotiating and influencing others to achieve quality outcomes.
  • Current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence.

You will be required to complete a pre-employment medical as part of the selection process.
