We are currently seeking an experienced Work, Health and Safety (WHS) Advisor to reportdirectly to the HSEQ Manager. The role will be on a full-time basis, and located at out Kewdale Depot, but will require regular travel to our off-site contracts located primarily in the Perth metro area.
The WHS Advisor is responsible to promote the Work Health and Safety culture throughout the organization and drive continuous improvement in the safety performance of our operations.
The position will be responsible for the following:
- Conducting regular site audits and inspections.
- Lead high risk incident investigations and compile incident reports.
- Promote positive safety culture via site visits, task observation and attendance at toolbox meetings.
- Support the operational teams for proactive risk reduction and continuous improvement.
- Become a fully conversant user of the WHS database (Noggin)
- Provide advice and solutions to front line leaders through coaching and guidance.
- Proactively drive compliance to company policies, practices, and procedures.
- Assist with the development and facilitation of WHS awareness training.
- Provide support to the elected H&S Representatives.
Requirements for this role are:
- Minimum of a Cert IV in Work Health and Safety
- Diploma in WHS (desirable)
- Valid C Class Driver’s License
- 3+ years experience in WHS or similar role (desirable)
- Previous experience in transport and logistics or a similar industry (desirable)
- Ability to provide practical WHS support to operational teams.
- Experience in establishing positive working relationships with key customers.
