Headquartered at Pittsworth, McLean Farms is a third-generation, family- owned agricultural business employing over 270 staff and operating across 5,000 hectares of farmland.
While best known as a large-scale ethical egg producer, McLean Farms is also a sizeable producer of grains and legumes, cattle, sheep and organic compost.
The company continues to expand through vertical integration within its areas of expertise and has extensive interests in pig and poultry layer genetics, raw material supplies to the stock feed industry, egg and pork marketing, processing and value-adding, and live export of cattle.
About the Role:

Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and driving the WH&S culture and health and safety initiatives across McLean Farms. In doing so, you will work closely with the leadership of all divisions, as well as site managers, to not just ensure WH&S compliance in line with relevant legislations and codes, but to positively influence mindsets and behaviours.
You will be supported by the Executive in reviewing and refining processes, policies and systems, and will engage at the strategic level across all aspects of WH&S.
Make no mistake, though, your role will include extensive engagement at site level. You will advise, coach and mentor managers and front-line supervisors, effecting positive change in thinking and actions.
About You:
You hold formal qualifications in WH&S and can demonstrate experience in:
• Successfully interpreting and practically applying relevant legislation and codes associated with Work Health and Safety Management.
• Health & Safety auditing and the conduct of investigations into WH&S incidents and accidents.
• The development and implementation of policies and procedures related to Work Health & Safety.
• Work assessment, rehabilitation and return to work programs.
Importantly, you can also point to past success in implementing positive behavioural change in complex business environments through having influenced across all levels of an organisation.
