The Work Health & Safety Foundation (WHS Foundation), established in 1972, is Western Australia’s only not-for-profit Work Health and safety training and service provider. RTO # 1907.

About the position
We are seeking skilled and knowledgeable WHS practitioners and professionals to join our multi-disciplinary WHS Academy team. Our training programs include diploma and certificate IV level WHS courses, mine statutory supervisor courses, health and safety representatives courses, safety leadership training, accident investigation training, and a range of WHS hazard training.
Key tasks and duties of the position include the following:
- Delivering WHS training programs in class face to face at our facilities or client sites.
- Delivering of training programs in an online facilitated environment.
- Conducting relevant assessments for training programs.
- Liaising with students including tutoring activities.
- Reviewing, updating and developing training materials and content.
- Aligning training materials to ASQA Registered Training Organisation (RTO) requirements.
- Willingness to undertake WHS advisory services relevant to skills and experience.
Candidate requirements
We are seeking positive, team-oriented, enthusiastic, and self-motivated people with the following:
- Work experience in a WHS or health and safety related, or training role in any industry.
- Training qualification – Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 / TAE40122) or higher.
- Relevant qualification in health & safety science, engineering or a WHS related discipline.
- Sound knowledge of the Work Health and safety legislation and other obligations.
- Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed training presentation and group facilitation skills.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office suite including MS Word and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of training requirements for Registered Training Organisations (RTO).
- Current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
