About the Role
This is a newly developed position within our Operations Excellence Team to optimize staffing solutions and enhance our workforce planning capabilities. As the Team Leader of the Workforce Planning Team, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive staffing strategies that align with our business goals and objectives. You will lead a team of 4 skilled workforce planners to ensure that Securitas Australia has the right people in the right roles at the right time, facilitating the achievement of our operational targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of workforce planners, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Collaborate with Guarding Operations Managers, payroll and HR to understand business goals, upcoming projects, and staffing requirements.
- Create and maintain workforce planning models to manage planned and unplanned leave, forecast and publish coverage schedules for sites
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workforce planning processes for weekly timesheet management, actioning payroll queries, shift drops and adhoc coverage requirements.
- Analyze workforce data, trends, and metrics to make informed decisions and recommendations for staffing adjustments.
- Present workforce planning insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in workforce planning methodologies.
Qualification:
- Cert II or III in Security Operations is preferred but not mandatory.
- Past experience in Security workforce planning or coordination roles is desired.
- 3-5 years of experience in a workforce planning team, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in workforce planning tools and applications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence decision-making at various levels.
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Special Requirements:
- This role requires your availability to support after hours or weekends when needed, such as during an emergency or escalation.
