Choose a career that suits your lifestyle! About your new branch Chief People Office focuses on establishing a high-performing and cohesive working culture. The branch consists of a team of over 100 who deliver strategic people programs for the organisation including workforce and culture initiatives, workplace and employee relations advice, learning and development programs and HR business partnering, along with operational services such as payroll, recruitment and appointments, remuneration and benefits.
About your new role This newly created position leads the development, implementation and operation of workforce vocational training programs. The position partners with all areas of the organisation to design and implement programs and initiatives that improve employee satisfaction and contribute to a high-performing organisation and positions City of Gold Coast as employer of choice.
Key priorities Responsibilities and duties of the role include, but are not limited to: Lead and develop the implementation of the City’s vocational programs such as Traineeships (Inc. school based), Apprenticeships and work experience. End to end project management of workforce initiatives ensuring the successful implementation into the business. Understanding market trends for vocational attraction and retention and implementing strategy, design and branding of the programs.
Coordinate and facilitate job placements, ensuring a smooth transition for both the candidate and business unit along. Provide high level advice on workforce vocational programs and develop partnerships with a wide range of internal and external key stakeholders, influencing and engaging with business units to enhance vocational outcomes. Ensure the City is recruiting for long term success and retention of trainees and apprentices.
