Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage and lead workshop staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Supervise and workshop staff and apprentices, providing guidance and support to maximise individual and team performance.
- Collaborate with Project, Design and Automation teams to optimise processes and establish production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products to meet customer demands.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, production schedules, and cost control measures.
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment to guarantee optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Manage inventory levels and liaise with procurement to ensure the availability of raw materials and components.
- Collaborate with the Health and Safety team to promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Provide regular reports to the Operations Manager on manufacturing performance, challenges, and improvements.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions to align manufacturing goals with overall company objectives.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for workshop staff and identify opportunities for skill development and training.
- Mechanical trade qualification with relevant industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field is advantageous.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role, preferably in automated machinery production.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
