About The Role:
Reporting to the National Technical Manager, you will be responsible for managing and providing automotive workshop services, including the preparation and maintenance of company operated vehicles and relevant service activities (Training, Parts and Accessories)
Key Accountabilities:
- Managing all aspects of the company workshop including, safety, access, monitoring, cleaning, stock take and purchasing of supplies.
- Delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
- Carrying out repairs and inspections of all Kia vehicles that come through the workshop. It includes but is not limited to:
- Performing vehicle Inspections, including new vehicle registrations and SUTI vehicles.
- Performing diagnosis and repairs to company vehicles and when necessary, customer vehicles.
- Maintaining company vehicles in accordance with Kia HQ requirements.
- Maintaining the stored vehicles in accordance with Kia HQ requirements.
- Assisting the Technical and Training team with inspections, diagnosis and all other necessary functions.
- Assisting with the testing of vehicles and providing feedback to the Technical team.
- Assisting the hotline team with answering dealer enquiries.
- Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to provide technical support for product launches, press and customer events.
- Assisting Parts and Accessories department with the development of accessories on Kia vehicles.
- Performing test fits of all accessories and providing verbal and written feedback on any improvements needed.
- Managing the safety of the people in the workshop environment.
- Actively participating in WHS meetings.
- Conducting workplace inspections, audits, incident investigation and risk assessments as required.
- Reporting any identified hazards and incidents including near misses or injuries which arise.
- Any other tasks as directed by the General Manager of Service or the National Technical Manager.
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Certificate III Light Vehicles Trade Certificate or similar.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in wholesale or dealership environment.
- Proven experience with Kia/Hyundai/Mitsubishi product is desirable.
- Understanding of Dealer Operations (Service, Parts and Sales).
- Understanding of ANVIS (Authorised New Vehicle Inspection Station).
- Strong work ethic and ability to adhere to deadlines.
