Specialised Automotive is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic person with the ability to lead and manage our workshop and front counter service team. This is a key role working directly with the Owner to ensure the ongoing growth and success of our dynamic family-owned business. We are a very busy mechanical and performance workshop, ARB stockist and 4WD accessories supplier/fitter.
This is a full-time position in our modern workshop working with a professional team. Work hours are 8am – 5.30pm Mon – Fri including some overtime but no weekend work. Above award remuneration and benefits dependant upon current experience.
Our ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of quoting, repair times and sourcing spare parts and be someone who can lead, manage and support our team of mechanics, apprentices and front office staff. This is a busy role for a well organised and driven person. Experience in a similar role is essential as is the ability to problem solve and work in a fast paced environment.
There will be lots of variety in this role. We service, repair and fit out a diverse range of products including cars, 4WDs, caravans and camper trailers and provide roadworthy inspections for light vehicles. We also have a busy performance department specialising in vehicle remapping and dyno tuning.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Leading and managing a team of 9 in the workshop and customer service/admin areas
- Allocating and managing daily jobs to ensure smooth workflow
- Providing amazing customer service by phone, email and front counter service
- Quoting and invoicing jobs
- Sourcing and ordering parts and maintaining supplier relationships
- Analysing monthly financial reports, profit and loss to ensure efficient running of the business
- Working with Administration to manage debtors, income and outgoings
- Working directly with the Owner to identify and pursue opportunities for business improvement and growth
- Ensuring compliance with OHS regulations
