The Opportunity
The Year Level Coordinator is primarily responsible for the holistic care and general relationship management of students in a Year Level. This will be in partnership with GEL teachers, parents, the other Year Level Coordinators and the Head of Student Wellbeing. The Coordinator is expected to fully support, and convey to the students, the ethos of the College. This ethos would normally be demonstrated by a compassionate and respectful relationship with students, staff and parents. Student care is done with justice and impartiality.
Campus: Rothwell
Reporting to: Head of Student Wellbeing/Head of Campus
Position type: Full-time with teaching component - three year tenure
Anticipated Commencement Date: 8 July 2024
About You
This position would suit someone with a commitment to the ethos, Christian values and teachings of the College. The suitable candidate will also have:
- Minimum – Bachelor of Education
- Preferred – Graduate and/or Post-Graduate qualifications relevant to the position
- Restorative Practices training, highly desirable
- Applicable teaching experience
- TASS and Track One experience, an advantage
- Microsoft TEAMs experience, an advantage
- Collaborative leadership skills (i.e. confidence, flexibility, initiative, perseverance and resourcefulness)
- Demonstrated ability and appropriate attitudes, knowledge and skills to work with others (i.e. teamwork)
- Strategic awareness with goal-setting and change management skills
- Self-directed application of knowledge with substantial depth
- Independence for routine and non-routine tasks, balanced with the skills of delegation
- Discretion and judgement required, time and accuracy constraints
- Self-reflective with ongoing professional development and learning
