As a New Graduate you will be well supported, working through Zanda’s own Leap’in Start program, as well as participating in structured weekly supervision from our team leaders and directors/senior Speech and Occupational Therapists. The position is based across our beautiful Ivanhoe and Macleod hubs which both have a warm and homely feel. You will be learning alongside an energetic and inspiring group of New Graduate Speech pathologists and Occupational Therapists. Your caseload will build gradually whilst we support you to find your feet and build your skills
What you’ll be doing…- Supporting children aged between 2-12 years old including their families
- New Grad Speech Pathologists will be managing a clinical caseload with primary focus on: late talkers/facilitation of pre-linguistic skills, expressive and receptive language skills, social skills using neurodiversity affirming programs/strategies, articulation, phonology, and motor speech disorders, parent coaching and education, early intervention for ASD and developmental delay, literacy, school readiness, Speech and language assessments/therapy for school aged children
- New Grad Occupational Therapists will be managing a clinical caseload with primary focus on: neurodiversity affirming intervention for children with ASD, supporting children with sensory processing difficulties, gross and fine motor skills, school readiness skills, engagement skills, play skills, emotional regulation, as well as supporting parents with goals important to them using a parent coaching model
- Opportunity to run small group programs with senior staff (e.g. school readiness, social skills, early play/language, dance/music groups)
- Work closely as a multidisciplinary team for shared clients, joint sessions, & transdisciplinary learning
A big focus on support to set you up for success as a New Graduate including:
- Weekly Monday morning new grad group supervision - sets you up for a successful week
- Weekly structured 1:1 supervision with our senior therapists
- Weekly Friday 1pm finish with clients - then 2 hours of structured team training/supervision/professional development
- Fortnightly peer supervision program
- 4 days at hub,1 day mobile - allows you to access support on site as much as you need
- Monthly group supervision/PD with our international, world class clinical advisors
- Structured scheduling with built in client blocks and admin blocks for plenty of planning time
- First week shadowing/training, then a gradually building caseload as you find your feet
- Transparent client/billable hours with a clear timeline for how your caseload will build

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy
- Eligibility for registration with AHPRA for Occupational Therapists
- Ability to commence in Jan or Feb of 2024
