Paradox Coffee Roasters Cafe operates from 7am-2pm daily and takes pride that staff enjoy a good work life balance ensuring minimal overtime is worked.
Paradox Coffee Roasters is a café and wholesale coffee roastery located within The 4217 precinct. Serving sustainably sourced coffee and delicious hand crafted food. Paradox Coffee Roasters is the leading destination for food and coffee in Surfers Paradise.
This pivotal role will be based in the café and will be responsible for managing all staff alongside the Cafe Manager, creating a smooth operational workflow. The 2IC Café Manager must be able to successfully demonstrate their past experience in running a cafe with the support of a team.
This role will report directly to the Café Manager.
Skills and experience
- A passion for all things coffee and have formal barista training and knowledge of coffee;
- Experience in staff rostering and management with leadership skills to manage the floor in a systematic way;
- Having the desire and the ability to recruit, train, mentor and develop a team, creating a productive, positive and profitable work environment ensuring regular training is implemented for the team;
- Flexible and available to work across a rotating roster which includes weekends,
- Manage daily stock-rotation, monthly stock-takes and review and report on results and variances;
- Hard working and possessing an enthusiastic attitude and the ability to multi-task within a fast-paced working environment;
- High level of presentation, self-motivated, positive and energetic;
- Customer focused ensuring high quality friendly customer service;
