Cafe Manager is needed to work at SCUH.

An Exciting opportunity exists for a Café Manager to join the Downer team located at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. The successful candidate will have a strong retail Food & Beverage background with hands-on supervisory experience and strong food safety knowledge.

Candidates with management experience in high street cafes and enjoy the fast-paced retail environment are encouraged to apply.

This is a demanding role and to be effective you will need to demonstrate initiative and the ability to "think on your feet". You must be results driven and team orientated, leading a strong local team with a disciplined approach.

To be successful you will have;

• A proven track record of managing Food and Beverage operations with the full understanding of operational decisions and the profit of an operation
• Wide ranging experience in the supervision of staff in a busy and complex operational environment
• Financial and cash management experience
• An excellent relationship with stakeholders in your organisation, external clients and suppliers
• A strong knowledge of and proven commitment to the compliance issues that surround the Food and Beverage work place
• A passion for providing and implementing quality health focused food menus on a seasonal basis
• The ability to train staff in food safety and ensure compliance.
• The acumen for food costings, food wastage and control
• A progressive and enthusiastic attitude to hard work in a dynamic environment!
• A proven track record of delivering a high standard of customer service.
• This would suite a highly motivated team player and good communicator who is looking for a challenge in a high-volume operation.
• Ability to work across a 7-day roster between 5am-11pm to ensure operational capacity is met.
