We are currently seeking an experienced 5-Axis CNC Programmer / Operator to join our business within our Product Development Department. This is an exciting opportunity to move to Brisbane QLD - the sunshine state!

Key Responsibilities:

• Check for job allocation/priorities with: Automotive PD Manager, CNC Manager
• Liaise with CAD designers, Project Managers, and Project Engineers.
• Accurate manufacture of machining tools, moulds, fixtures-alloy, plastics, timber and composites
• Basic maintenance on ARES and BACCI CNC machine
• Assist production team with day-to-day programming and operation
• Read/analyze/understand and interpret drawings
• Set out jobs and provide accurate detailed cutting lists/drawings for manufacturing and installing
• Provide advice on machinery and process improvement initiatives
• Managing a small team of CNC operators

About you:

• Good level of computer literacy with Microsoft word, excel etc. 
• Good understanding of G-code, including canned cycles
• Offline toolpathing with NX software 
• Hold a Certificate IV in Engineering (CNC Programming)
• 5 years of CNC programming experience in the manufacturing industry
• Competent in the use of NX CAD/CAM
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Committed to safe work practices
• Experience managing a small team of CNC operators
