Form of workWe are a small growing manufacturer of fire rated and non-rated Timber Doors, and seek a hands on CNC Operator / Programmer, that ideally has previous experience with Biesse, Homag or Masterwood software and machinery.
Experience from within the door panel industry is preferred, however, applicants from other manufacturing backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Key Role & Responsibilities:
- Planning and organising the day to day running of CNC operations.
- Management of tool library and knowledge of tooling.
- Co-ordinating jobs to ensure production lead times are met.
- Create and maintain a QA checking process.
- Implement and maintain best working methods.
- Training staff in CNC operations.
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.
- Study plan drawings and sequence of cutting operations to be performed accordingly.
- Marking outlines or dimensions of parts to products, according to required specifications.
- Willingness to take on other tasks not specifically included within the role (both skilled and semi-skilled), provided the task is within the employees core skill competencies.
The ideal candidate with possess the following Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience with CAD drawing and programming software preferred but not essential.
- Previous experience with cabinet making or joinery preferred, but not essential.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating CNC machines and associated woodworking tools.
- Effective planning and organisational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound computer literacy.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Possession of a good work ethic.
- Problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
