- Allocate tasks and provide specialist support and guidance to the Payroll team
- Assist in the provision of timely and accurate Payroll Services
- Maintain correct employee details and electronic personnel files
- Actively contribute to meeting the objectives of the Payroll, People & Culture and Finance Departments.
Manage work allocation and provide leadership to Payroll Team
- Access and manage the work priorities/tasks to be completed
- Allocate work allocation within the team
- Lead complex payroll processes
- Provide high level support to the Payroll Coordinator with process improvements
- Provide leadership, training and support to the Payroll team
- Collaboratively work with the HR Generalist team to ensure outstanding maintenance is completed within required timeframes
Payroll Production - Fortnightly Payrun
- Processing Timesheets, including data entry
- Ensure all attendance sheets have been received
- Check and confirm input data, assist where necessary.
- Undertake import of files into Chris21 when required and check for accuracy
- Assist with the reconciliation of the pay run each fortnight to ensure all figures are accurate and balanced and investigate any discrepancies
Payroll Maintenance/Superannuation Admin
- Assist with employee master file changes for general employee information
- Undertake updating of employee personal details
- Undertake updating of employee personal deductions/superannuation
- Check and input all new employee information – Onboarding
- Process terminations for exiting employees
- Employee superannuation setup for “Choice of Funds”
Electronic Personnel Files (Content Manager / TRIM)
- Ensure accurate saving of maintenance and personnel records relating to salary rates, leave, deductions and other payroll related information
Customer Service
- Respond to all inquiries with empathy, in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure employees fully understand response given to queries
- Assist other Payroll staff with complex payroll requests
Other Specific Duties
- Document and update personal work processes as required
- Assist Co-ordinator and other Payroll Officers as required
