About the role
We have a permanent full-time opportunity working within our Youth and Homelessness team as an Accommodation Case Worker.
This role will provide case management and tenancy support to our clients including practical tenancy support, life skills, referrals, advocacy and parenting support. You’ll also use a supportive landlord model to provide a strength-based approach to tenancy and the development of tenancy skills.
About you
You’ll have a passion for working with complex young people and their families and have a solid understanding of using evidence-based service models. Along with this you’ll also have:
- Certificate IV in a relevant field is highly desired
- Knowledge of the supportive landlord model and approach
- Prior experience in areas such as income support, domestic violence, substance abuse and trauma
- Knowledge and understanding of the current issues presented by homeless people or those at risk of homelessness
- Demonstrated prior experience in a Case Worker position within the community sector
- Working with Children Check
- Drivers Licence
- COVID and Influenza vaccinations are preferred but not required
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
