Case Workers – both full time and part time
Provide case management and advocacy support to the women in our service who are experiencing family and domestic violence and/or homelessness. Our Case workers work within a team of Case Workers, Support Workers, Child Advocates and Counsellors, and may be required to work weekends and on-call.
Essential Criteria requiring demonstrated experience in e in
- Extensive knowledge of family violence risk assessment and management frameworks.
- Ability to work autonomously within a collaborative practice model and adapt to evolving practice methods.
To be successful in this role you also require:
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively engage with a diverse range of individuals and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional level of reporting such as case notes, assessments, and support plans.
- Demonstrated ability to work with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander families.
- Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed care and a commitment to cultural safety and diversity.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-informed decisions.
- Proficiency in information technology and the ability to adapt to new software and platforms.
- Have the ability and experience to understand and respond in an inclusive way with the diversity of our clients, communities, and teams that we work with each day.
- A positive and collaborative approach to teamwork and the ability to mentor and guide less experienced staff.
All positions at PGCNV need to possess:
- National Police Clearance Certificate
- Working with Children Card
- Current ‘C’ Class WA Drivers Licence
