What's the Role: Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Account Manager will play a critical role in managing key accounts and technical sales growth in our Mineral Processing business in the region and support customer satisfaction.
You will lead and develop a sustainable growth path for the business’s profitability. This will include understanding the market, customer, and competitor dynamics, establishing sales and marketing plans, establishing sales budgets, and helping set KPIs to achieve business results.
You will manage all aspects of the Mineral Processing sales and marketing for your region. You will have a good understanding of contract negotiations and ensure any supply arrangement price lists and other agreed terms are maintained and distributed.
You will work collaboratively with the manufacturing and product development teams in assisting sales personnel as required. You will also play an active role in developing market opportunities through product and technical development.
You will advise senior management of anticipated changes in customer needs or market direction and assist in defining the future needs of these markets.
You will provide or facilitate management reports, budget forecasts, or other survey data that may be requested by the Sales & Marketing Manager.
Key Criteria: · Technical trade background or tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering is desirable with additional emphasis on sales management and marketing · Strong knowledge of Mining Mineral Processing applications e.g. Grinding Mills, Transfer chute wear lining systems, · Customer-focused with the ability to solve problems, · Experience in Sales, contract management and negotiation · Knowledge of foundry & fabrication manufacturing processes and costing systems, as well as marketing techniques and procedures · Computer literacy particularly in MS Office, Sales Force, and the ability to produce high-quality business reports and documentation. · Ability to communicate clear instructions to a variety of stakeholders, · Ability to travel.
