The Opportunity:
In this role you will be responsible for the Aggregates sales across your territory in a true end to end account management role.
Based out at Pakenham / Tynong or Lang Lang, this role will be covering our Aggregates and Sand portfolios, and you will deliver the agreed sales targets and business goals within the assigned accounts through maintaining a structured contact plan that is continually tailored to establish and improve relationships with new and existing customers. You will also develop key account & segment strategies aligned with key customer objectives & trends.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Build relationships and identify opportunities to supply construction materials.
- Generate and convert new leads.
- Build brand loyalty and maximise revenues.
- Develop and maintain a structured customer contact plan within the allocated accounts in line with allocated budget targets.
- Maintain and enhance positive working relationships with assigned customers to build customer loyalty.
- Identify and follow up all new business, product and/or project opportunities within the existing customer base.
- Resolve customer issues, disputes and/or complaints, both onsite and offsite, in a prompt and professional manner
- Enrol relevant internal staff and ensure accountabilities are clearly defined to resolve the issue satisfactorily.
- Proactively promote the full product and service range within your territory to maximise up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Maintain an accurate and up to date customer database.
- Maintain an understanding of the market changes, trends, opportunities, risks and competitive activity within the allocated territory.
- Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with all relevant internal staff that impact on the customer experience.
About you:
- Previous experience in B2B sales ideally in the building materials or construction sectors is an advantage.
- Ideally an understanding of the Quarrying/ Aggregates / Concrete industry
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are an advantage but not essential.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and be able to build rapport.
- Able to find ways to put together solutions that add value for your customers.
- High proficiency in word, excel, Powerpoint, SAP and other systems required to do the role effectively.
- Strong team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding of the importance of and ability to effectively communicate and build relationships within the Aggregates business.
